Saint Bris Veaupiary

Sauvignon Veaupiary

Saint Bris is one of a kind in Burgundy. Obviously not made from Pinot Noir or Gamay, nor is it made from Chardonnay. The grape variety is Sauvignon which is usually found a few kilometers away in Sancerre. The nose boasts very distinctive and expressive notes of blackcurrant bud and leaf, of broom and box-tree. When young an exotic side may appear with litchi aromas. the terroir and its minerality are of course still present.

On the palate the lively expressive character goes on. The vivacity and freshness are here but always let the rounder more supple identity come forth with lemon, peach and white flesh fruits sabors.

With its vigorous personality it will be easy to serve this wine with seafood and shellfish, you can also choose some goat cheese, some shepherd or fisherman pie or try something a bit more exotic with a curry.
